Meet Dr. Shannon Heath Kasmierski

DVM
I was born and raised in Wyoming. I attended the University of Wyoming for my undergraduate studies and earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. Over the years, I’ve practiced in large animal, companion animal, and emergency medicine, as well as with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Since 1993, I’ve worked in animal hospitals across Virginia, Washington, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Idaho.

My passion is providing the best, most stress-free care for my feline patients. I truly believe that cats are delicate souls with a low tolerance for interruptions to their “Bird TV,” and my goal is to help them enjoy as many happy, healthy years as possible.

In my free time, I stay active with the Rotary E-Club of Global Peacebuilders, Rotary District 7610, and the Rotary Leadership Institute. I recently married my fellow Rotarian, Dan Kasmierski, and we love to travel, explore wineries around the world, and give back to our community. At home, we share our lives with two wonderful orange tabbies, Treble and Tales. I also have two daughters, one living in Virginia and the other in North Carolina.
